It acts as an user intermediary to let user perform simple functions on their smartphones. The  Smartwatch works with most smartphones running Android version 2.1 or higher, Sony said. It's offered at US$150.

Special features :

The SmartWatch measures about 1.4 inches square and is 0.3 inches thick. It weighs just over half an ounce.

The device has a 1.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 128 by 128 pixels. It uses Bluetooth 3.0.

The device is compatible with various Sony Xperia smartphones, Sony's Sneeden said. It's also compatible with various smartphones from HTC, including the Desire, Sensation and Wildfire; Motorola's Droid 2 and Razr; and several Samsung Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy S II, Galaxy SL, Galaxy Mini and Galaxy 5.

It also lets them control music on their smartphones and snap pictures with their Android phones from a distance.

"Nobody wears watches anymore, and while it seems the SmartWatch might appeal more to women who keep their phones out of reach in pocketbooks, they're probably going to be less likely to wear something as geeky-looking as this," Eisner pointed out.

Further, the SmartWatch has limited functionalities, Eisner pointed out.

"At least the iPod Nano when worn on the wrist can play music, and has a headphone jack, which the SmartWatch doesn't," Eisner elaborated.

Plus Your Eyes And Ears With Google: Google Eyewear

So Google has finally started working on one of the biggest technological advancement as per us. No, let me put it this way. Google has finally started working on what we think has been the biggest technological advancement in the past few years. We are talking about Augmented Reality.

Today, we are here to gladly give you the news that Google is working on a project which they have termed as Project Glass. The basic idea behind the project is the development of wearable glasses that are nothing but Augmented Reality glasses. What these glasses do is scan the area around and using Augmented Reality technology to guide you and let you do a number of things that you would take out your smartphone for.

It connects one through their loved ones while driving, walking or working. No one could ever think of such innovative ideas before Google. But the question arises that is it practical? Will it be accepted by mass?

What benefits?
There are several advantages of using Google’s eyeglass…

  • The much awaited eyeglass wear would help the world to emerge as a totally new era because it would make several dreams come true.
  • In this fast moving world this will make us “multi-tasking” means working while driving, which is based on hand  free concept and it answers to the laws that creates hindrance in doing so.
  • It would add ups to the user’s external beauty as an accessory and not as an insulted or vague looks.
  • The concept of hand free product is thus a worth using as instead of having fine technology in your pocket or purse it will be just near your sight. So, you can be through it directly like the iPod ear buds.
  • It would not only help the general mass but can create a revolution to mankind as this product could be used by all types of handicapped people for enhancing their knowledge power. Apart from this it is also useful in industries like manufacturing, sales etc. for easier and fast transfer of data and related information.

Here is the video that Google posted to explain more about the concept, what is the basic idea that they have in mind and what all they believe can be implemented:
Surprised? Shocked? Amazed?

We were all three of them at the same time but given that we had a fair bit of idea of what Augmented Reality is, we recovered pretty quickly. As for Google’s Project Glass, we all know when google does something, it does so with a lot of style and with a lot of effort put into their products by their elite team of developers.
As for the current state of Project Glass, it’s still an idea and requires a lot of time for implementation for sure but who can you trust if not Google to come up with such a revolutionary technology.  Even though it’s not been long since April Fool’s Day so one can expect them to be fooling you yet again and yet we want to believe that they do build and work on this technology for this is totally worth it and totally amazing!

The Crispy & Spicy : Samsung Galaxy NeXus

The spellbound screaming for Galaxy Nexus amongst people since it does disclose in Hong Kong on October 8 shows the ultimate curiosity! The much awaited U.S. version Nexus is now available with slim, speed, strong and of course Android IceCream Sandwich. Thus, this 4S makes Nexus a best Android phone available till date. Though this facilitates 4S yet it does not has better camera and the memory limited which stands as the biggest shortfalls.

When it comes to design, Galaxy Nexus is the best available phone with shining screen, Sandwich and back all best qualities amongst Samsung other Galaxy phones. The light weight of 5.1 ounces and the understated curve make it compatible with human habit and ease of access. It has touch screen, home and soft keys for searching and handling purposes.

The Super Amoled display makes altogether a different piece from Samsung other Galaxy S II phones which have Amoled Plus technology bounded with it. It means that Galaxy Nexus has 1280 by 720 pixel screen with subpixel of PenTile pixel framework which is comparatively lower than that of galaxy S II in terms of density, color brightness and contrasts. But according to Flatpanels HD, it is 315 pixels per inch which is only 11 pixels per inch lower than iPhone 4/4S.

One who is not much particular about color graphics and desiring a ‘handsome’ phone would not leave Nexus for sure!

Although the screen is 4.65 inches long, only 4 inch is available to work with fantastic multimedia, games and others while rest is covered by the shortcut bar at the down.

Android Honeycomb on Tablets is comparatively similar to the Galaxy Nexus in terms of features. For instance, in both widgets can be minimized or maximized on the home screen. It also provides all in one view of the apps with thumbnails pictures. The just one problem it has is the waiting time between operations of two apps.

The world may be familiar with the face recognition lock system in several devices. Similarly, Nexus carries the same feature of face unlocking. Though Google reports that a person having similar face can unlock your phone yet Samsung inhibits such feature as a publicity device in Nexus.

Moreover, Nexus contains large-cubical sized keyboard which enables the smooth and speedy typing, and a voice recognition device. Thus, choice is all yours whether to dictate or to write.

Now, the ‘Android specialty tool’ by the developer which is again a delight to its users, who can assist the CPU meter, give touchscreen feedback and check background process.

The core apps like Android Gmail facility provide an enchanting updates of the features like Action Bar at its verge while you are busy with your mails. It enables working with the attachment from gallery, or other folders. One who is a keen user of Gmail would surely go for it!
Nexus being a wonderful set supporting NFC fails to have Google Wallet.

The Nexus performance is a dual- core 1.2 Hz Texas Instruments OMAP 4460 processor, with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage facility. It also supports different benchmarks like java benchmark. Nexus enjoyed the same points as Motorola Droid Razer having 1.2GHz T1 OMAP 4430 processor and just few points lesser than Galaxy S II.

On a contrary, Qualcomm’s Vellamo app enjoyed a total score of 803 while Droid Razer 1040 on Nexus which was more than Samsung Galaxy S II, Skyrocket and the HTC EVO 3D. Adding to it, the Nexus is the expert ‘advances of advance’ having the best downloading and uploading speed of about 12.11 mbps and 21.18 mbps respectively.

The network access in calls is an awesome experience with Nexus.

The featured camera provides it with the ‘time saving clicks’ i.e. without unlocking it but the quality with 5m.p. is just a hazy one with blur color and wiped darkness. The addition of pictures editing tools like in other phones gives some remedies to overcome the above problem to some extent, as it edits the photo in such a way and saves a copy of it so that the original remains the same. Furthermore, like a handy-cam you can record videos up to 1080 p in Camcorder mode which undoubtly looks amazing with perfect array of movements and no drawbacks on pixilation.

Conclusively, Samsung Galaxy Nexus is amazingly awesome and best suited for starring Android Ice Cream Sandwich in the world. Though it’s a long time for now having an Android specified phone yet the features that Google provides to its OS is beyond comparison in the effectiveness it provides. Hence, Nexus remains the most prominent device to be used and exemplified.
